Job Summary:

The Publishing Analyst will fulfill a strategic role in investigating market trends, identifying opportunities, and enhancing our publishing processes. This position will engage closely with our editorial, production, and marketing teams to guarantee the efficient execution of our publishing projects.

Responsibilities:

- Analyze market trends, sales data, and industry insights to inform publishing decisions
- Develop and maintain complex spreadsheets and databases to track publishing projects
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize publishing workflows and improve efficiency
- Conduct research on authors, topics, and genres to identify new opportunities
- Prepare reports and presentations for senior management and stakeholders
- Assist in developing and implementing publishing strategies and plans
- Stay up-to-date with industry developments and emerging trends

Requirements:

- Bachelor's degree in Publishing, Literature, Business, or a related field
- 2+ years of experience in publishing, literary agency, or a related industry
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Experience with data analysis tools and software (e.g., SQL, Tableau)
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Preferred Qualifications:

- Master's degree in Publishing, Business, or a related field
- Experience with publishing software and platforms (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, WordPress)
- Knowledge of e-book and print-on-demand technologies
- Familiarity with social media and online marketing platforms
